This weekend is the 11th annual Andersonville Arts Weekend, an event geared toward celebrating Andersonville’s artistic community and wide range of locally-owned businesses. During the weekend, the artisitc and business communities come together to showcase the artwork of dozens of local artists in businesses and galleries throughout the neighborhood.
While a full schedule of events can be found here, some highlights include live art demonstrations, musical and theater performances, and a self-guided art walk - where you can visit 40 Andersonville businesses at your own pace that are hosting visual and performing artists and their works. There’s even a pub crawl that ends with a rendition of Rocky Horror Picture show at The Call (1547 W Bryn Mawr). The weekend kicks off with “A Night of 100 Parties!” tomorrow, where dozens of your favorite stores will host their own parties that may feature cocktails and snacks while you shop.
